The most common causes of product damage.

(Product = Inflatable products for waterparks.)

1. Products come into contact with sharp and porous surfaces:

 – many water parks do not use elevators to transport products to the beginning of the water slides,
 – customers drag products on concrete or stairs,
 – in water parks, it is required that the surfaces of walkways and stairs are non-slippery – in order to prevent injuries to customers in case of slipping,
 – especially in new water parks, the concrete surfaces are much rougher, (later on, the surfaces of the walkways become smooth or filled with dust and skin due to wear and tear)
PREVENTION: Use of lifts for inflatable waterpark products
*

2. Deformation and increase in dimensions when using higher pressure:

– many water parks do not have any measuring devices to measure the recommended pressure in the products,
– products are often taken care of by untrained workers,
– highly inflated products are left in the sun, where the heat increases the volume of the air and thereby increases the pressure in the products,
PREVENTION: Training of workers and use of correct pressure gauges. Observe the correct pressure marked on the product!
*

3. Product overload.

Each product has a defined and marked maximum load capacity. If control is not carried out in the water park, products may be overloaded by overweight customers.
PREVENTION: Limiting the weight of users according to the data on the products.
*

4. Exposure to excessive pressure, UV rays and chlorine compounds without regular product treatment can degrade the material over time.

PREVENTION: Proper and regular maintenance should consist of:
– checks of prescribed pressure
– storing products in the shade
– rinsing products from residual chlorine compounds after each day of use
